围绕病原微生物进化和致病机制:首次揭示全球副溶血弧菌种群结构,提出近期跨洋迁徙融合理论;拓展全基因组上位互作(GWES)方法,构建首个细菌GWES完整图谱;发现、验证数个新毒力相关因子,提出群体遗传新参数Ner,建立聚类新方法iterative-PopPUNK。
理论用于流行病学实践,揭示疾病暴发流行规律,拓展病原识别和溯源方法:建立“数据驱动”疾病暴发识别模型,揭示长期隐匿源头关键作用,指出食源疾病防控新方向;揭示新型致病弧菌等病原的流行病学特征和传播、扩散规律;成功应对、溯源数起突发疫情,发现食源疾病传播新途径。
先后主持国家自然科学基金面上、青年项目和中国博士后基金面上、特别资助等项目,作为课题骨干参与多项国家重点研发计划项目。近5年以(共同)第一/通讯作者在Nature Microbiology、The ISME Journal、Emerging Infectious Diseases等国际知名期刊发表SCI论文10余篇。
依托病原菌定量基因组学研究组开展科研工作。围绕微生物进化和溯源理论和实际问题,结合群体遗传学和基因组流行病学交叉学科知识,应用新一代测序和基因组学等多组学技术,揭示重要感染性病原微生物的进化、暴发流行规律和致病机制,解决病原发现和溯源等实际流行病学问题,为感染性疾病防控提供科学依据和技术支撑。
